Week 11 is the second week of the fourth mesocycle of my Endurance Phase for the 2015 racing season (click here for a detailed description of macrocycles, mesocycles and microcycles). Here are my workouts for the week of October 13-19, 2014 (click here to download my Endurance Phase training plan):
- Monday, October 13 – Active Recovery (1.0 hour)
- Tuesday, October 14 – Active Recovery (1.0 hour)
- Thursday, October 16 – Steady Spinning (1.75 hours)
- Saturday, October 18 – Steady Spinning (2.0 hours)
Basically, this was a recovery week from last Sunday’s awesome Tour de Scottsdale ride. I had tired legs on Monday and Tuesday as I did pure Active Recovery rides on the indoor trainer. I got stronger as the week went on and got outside to do my two Steady Spinning rides. I was still a bit tired on Thursday and didn’t feel all that great at the beginning of Saturday’s ride. However, I hung in and felt much stronger the second half of the workout. I have a field test on Monday and then I recover for 4 days before I do another Steady Spinning ride next Saturday. As always, I’ll let you know how it goes. Have a great week!
