Cycle Log: Intensity Phase 2014 – Week 2

Week 2 is the second week of the first mesocycle of my Intensity Phase for the 2014 racing season (click here for a detailed description of macrocycles, mesocycles and microcycles). Here are the actual workouts with the plan for the week of January 13-19, 2014 (click here to download my Intensity Phase training plan).

I was a little tired this week, no doubt from Sunday’s 102 mile expedition. I did have a great Time Trial Intervals workout on Thursday. I did 4 x 5:00 Zone 4 efforts with 5 minutes of recovery on a stationary bike. However, that workout left me dragging for the next couple of days. Oh well, I have a recovery week coming up so I will get a chance to rest, but not before a hard ride on Monday. As always, I’ll let you know how it goes. Have a great week!
