Cycle Log: Endurance Phase 2014 – Week 4

Week 4 is the first week of the second mesocycle of my Endurance Phase for the 2014 racing season (click here for a detailed description of macrocycles, mesocycles and microcycles). Here are the actual workouts with the plan for the week of October 14-20, 2013 (click here to download my Endurance Phase training plan).

I had a good week that began with some leg fatigue from last Sunday’s Tour de Scottsdale. I recovered by Thursday’s Hill Climb workout at South Mountain and had a great ride. I did two 5.5 mile ascents for a total of 2,500 feet of climbing. I was still a bit tired for Saturday’s High Cadence Spinning workout but it went pretty well. I also went past the 4,000 mile mark for the year! I’m doing the 65-mile leg of the Faster Gran Fondo this week. As always, I’ll let you know how it goes. Have a great week!
