Cycle Log: Competition Phase II – Week 11

Week 11 is the second week of the fourth mesocycle of my Competition Phase II for the 2013 racing season (click here for a detailed description of macrocycles, mesocycles and microcycles). Here are the actual workouts with the plan for the week of September 9-15, 2013 (click here to download my plan for Competition Phase II).

I took the first of two pure recovery weeks since I decided to shut down the race season after last weekend’s state championship. It’s important to take some time away from hard training after the season to rejuvenate both physically and mentally. I just did 3 easy Active Recovery rides. I was pretty tired for the first two but felt much stronger by the end of the week. I’ll do the same workouts next week and then I’ll start my 2013 Endurance Phase training plan (I will post the plan next week). As always, I’ll let you know how it goes. Have a great week!
