Lose Weight WITHOUT Dieting: Tip #85: Eat Foods without Labels

At first glance, this would seem to contradict an earlier tip that encourages you to read food labels and yes, you should scan labels to better understand the nutritional content of the foods and beverages you ingest. However, you should also get in the habit of eating foods that do not have labels. For example, when was the last time you saw a label on an apple or an orange or a tomato? There are no labels for fresh foods like bananas, cantaloupe, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, spinach, grapes, cherries and blueberries. Get in the habit of eating label-free foods on a daily basis but be mindful, foods such as doughnuts, cookies, bagels and muffins may also lack labels with information on nutritional content. These are foods you want to eat in moderation and only after you have been able to ascertain their nutritional content.
