Cycle Log: Competition Phase Week 15

Week 15 is the third week of the fifth mesocycle of my Competition Phase for the 2013 racing season (click here for a detailed description of macrocycles, mesocycles and microcycles). Here are the actual workouts with the plan for the week of April 22-28, 2013 (click here to download my plan for the Competition Phase).

I treated this week like a recovery week because tomorrow I launch a new training program. I finished the manuscript for my latest book, The Business of Training and Coaching, on Friday so it’s time to start preparing for my big events at the end of the summer and early fall. I’ll spend May and June building my endurance base and then shift to higher intensity workouts in July and August when it is really hot here in Arizona! As always, I’ll let you know how it goes.
