Cycle Log: Intensity Phase Week 15

Week 15 is the third week of the fifth mesocycle of my 2012 Intensity Phase (click here for a detailed description of macrocyles, mesocycles and microcycles), which means it is a recovery week.  It is also the final week of my Intensity Phase.  Here are the actual workouts with the plan for the week of April 9-15, 2012 (click here to download my plan for the Intensity Phase).

I had a very good field test on Monday, producing an average power of 230 watts during the 30-minute test.  That’s my second highest output ever in a field test; however, I was a bit disappointed because I expected to set a PB (currently 234 watts).  I had a solid Tempo ride on Tuesday but tired after an hour of hard pushing. The rest of the week consisted of pure recovery.  I start my Competition Phase Training Plan this week.  I’ll let you know how it goes.  Have a great week!
