Cycle Log: Intensity Phase Week 12

Week 12 is the third week of the fourth mesocycle of my 2012 Intensity Phase (click here for a detailed description of macrocyles, mesocycles and microcycles).  Here are the actual workouts with the plan for the week of March 19-25, 2012 (click here to download my plan for the Intensity Phase).

I had another very good week, even though it was a recovery week.  I set another PB during Monday’s field test on the indoor trainer.  I used the middle of the week for recovery and participated in two races at Sunday’s Arizona City Cotton Classic.  I did a 20K solo time trial and a 40K tandem TT.  I was a bit disappointed with my 20K results (32:54) but it is a tough course.  I was much happier with our “unofficial” 40K tandem effort (1:03:22).  Eddie and I rode well together.  I have a hard week coming up.  I’ll let you know how it goes.  Have a great week!
