This was primarily a recovery week, but I also had my biggest racing test of the new season at the Valley of the Sun Time Trial. This is a 14.2 mile TT that climbs about 250 feet on the outbound leg. Last year, I completed the course in 39:17. I have had every indication that I am much stronger now, which is why this was such an important test. I believe I passed with flying colors as I completed the course in 37:04, which is a 2:13 improvement! This is going to be a really good season. I have a hard week coming up.
