Cycle Log: Endurance Phase Week 5

Week 5 is the second week of the second mesocycle of my Endurance Phase (click here for a detailed description of macrocyles, mesocycles and microcycles).  Here are the actual workouts with the plan for the week of November 7-13, 2011 (click here to download my plan for the Endurance Phase).

I had another great week.  I had to rearrange my schedule a bit, but I did all of the workouts. My Steady Spinning session was hard because of strong winds.  I did my Tempo ride on the indoor trainer and rode well.  I had a great Power Bursts workout.  I did 14 x 15 second repeats on an indoor trainer with 2:45 recovery.  I had no problem pedaling 53 x 12 beyond 85 rpm during the power bursts.  I have a field test on Monday and then I recover.   I’ll let you know how it goes.  Have a great week!
