Cycle Log: Endurance Phase Week 1

Week 1 is the first week of the first mesocycle of my Endurance Phase (click here for a detailed description of macrocyles, mesocycles and microcycles).  Here are the actual workouts with the plan for the week of October 10-16, 2011 (click here to download my plan for the Endurance Phase).

It begins again and I’m off to a great start!  I did a 2-hour Steady Spinning session on my Trek hybrid averaging 17.5 mph on hilly terrain.  I followed this up with a High Cadence Recovery session on a stationary bike.  I had a great Tempo ride on Thursday with an emphasis on pedaling a big gear around 80 rpm on a hilly course.  I finished the week with 10 Power Bursts up a hill with a 15% incline.  I have a similar week of training next week.  I’ll let you know how it goes.  Have a great week!
