Lose Weight WITHOUT Dieting: Tip #47 – Participate in an Organized Athletic Event

Exercise is a great way to lose weight, improve your health, and feel better about yourself.  Unfortunately, not everyone wants to exercise.  The good news is that you can motivate yourself by participating in a local athletic event.  There are literally thousands of these types of events held around the country each year, and they can include walking, running, cycling, climbing, swimming, rowing, skiing, skating and tennis.  There are both competitive and non-competitive events so you don’t have to be a highly motivated athlete to participate.  Just give yourself some time to prepare for the rigors of the event and have fun!
