Cycle Log: Competition Phase Week 20

Week 20 is the second week of the seventh mesocycle of my Competition Phase (click here for a detailed description of macrocyles, mesocycles and microcycles).  Here are the actual workouts with the plan for the week of September 12-18, 2011 (click here to download my plan for the Competition Phase).

This week can be described as the first week of my two-week recovery phase.  It’s all about rest, recovery and easy spinning in the form of three, 60-minute Active Recovery rides.  My legs were tired for the first two rides but a little stronger on Saturday.  I’ll do another series of recovery rides next week, which should prepare me for the start of my endurance phase the following week.  As always, I’ll let you know how it goes.  Have a great week!
