Lose Weight WITHOUT Dieting: Tip #33 – Eat Peanuts or Peanut Butter on a Regular Basis

Of course, if you are allergic to nuts, skip this one!  But if you’re not allergic, nuts are an excellent source of healthy, monounsaturated fat.  They have no cholesterol, are rich in vitamin E and protein, and possess significant amounts of fiber.  Some nuts contain plant sterols, which can help lower your LDL (bad) cholesterol.  They also contain l-arginine, which can improve the health of your artery walls.  Nuts are relatively inexpensive, easy to store and easy to take with you to work or school.  A fairly small amount of nuts or peanut butter can quickly satisfy your hunger.  However, as with olive oil, you want to eat nuts in moderation (about a handful each day).
