Cycle Log: Competition Phase Week 6

Week 6 is the third week of the second mesocycle of my Competition Phase (click here for a detailed description of macrocyles, mesocycles and microcycles), which means it is a recovery week.  Here are the actual workouts with the plan for the week of June 6 to 12, 2011 (click here to download my plan for the Competition Phase).

This was a very easy week since my only goal was to completely recover from the past 5 months of hard training.  I simply did 3 Active Recovery rides and took four days off. I wasn’t as worn out as I thought I would be and by the end of the week I felt very strong again.  I restart my intensity training this week with the goal of building to another peak in about 2.5 months.  I’ll let you know how it goes.  Have a great week!
