Lose Weight WITHOUT Dieting: Tip #21 – Order Off-the-Menu

At most restaurants, you don’t have to limit your choices to the standard bill of fare. If you are struggling to find something healthy to eat, order off-the-menu.  Request healthier meals such as pasta with a side sauce, or a simple chicken dish.  You can also have menu items prepared in a more healthful manner (e.g., have the skin removed from your chicken, ask for vegetables to be prepared without cheeses or creams, and request a side dish of salad dressing so you can decide how much to use on your salad).  Steps such as these can significantly lower the fat, carbohydrate and calorie content of your meals.
