Lose Weight WITHOUT Dieting: Tip #19 – Select Your Restaurant Meal in Advance

Last week, I suggested eliminating at least one restaurant meal each week as a way to reduce your caloric intake.  However, you are still going to eat out from time-to-time and you can do so healthfully.  One step you can take is to select your meal prior to arriving at the restaurant.  You can do this by going to the website of the establishment you will be visiting.  Most restaurants have menus posted online, and many of these include nutritional information.  You can also purchase a calorie counter book that emphasizes popular restaurants.   This will allow you to make an informed meal choice in advance and reduce your chances of eating an unhealthy meal.

  1. I try to view menus before going out with friends and then I try to point us in the direction of said restaurants. The problem is then following through once at the restaurant. Sometimes I do and sometimes I do not.

    Great tip.
