Lose Weight WITHOUT Dieting

You are probably well aware of the fact that we have a major obesity problem in America.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, two out of every three Americans are overweight.  One out of every three are clinically obese, which means 72 million Americans have a serious weight problem.  This obesity is spread throughout the country with 49 states having obesity prevalence rates of more than 20% (Colorado is the only exception).  And unfortunately, the obesity epidemic is not limited to adults.  17% of children and adolescents between the ages of 2 and 19 are obese, a number that has more than tripled since 1980.  On an individual level, many people who struggle with weight problems resort to dieting.  This is understandable given the frustration many feel and the abundance of fad diets that promise miracle weight loss in little time.  Unfortunately, these promises almost never pan out. 

In the coming weeks, I will offer you a host of healthier and more effective alternatives to dieting.  Specifically, I will teach you how to lose weight WITHOUT dieting.  No miracle cures, no ridiculous promises and no unrealistic expectations.  I will simply provide you with specific steps you can take to eat more healthfully, to live a more active lifestyle, and to achieve a body weight you can be proud of.  I’ll start next week by talking about why diets don’t work, and what you can do to lose weight, and keep it off…permanently!
