High Impact Cycling Workout #18 – Sprint Intervals: Short

Want to ride fast?  I mean really, really fast?  Then you have to train really, really fast.  The best way to do this is with Sprint Intervals.  Sprint Intervals are just what they sound like.  You ride as hard and as fast as you can for a brief period of time (usually 30 to 60 seconds).  Sprint Intervals are great for increasing your neuromuscular power and anaerobic capacity, which significantly increases your top cycling speed.  Make sure you warm-up thoroughly for this workout.  You will be turning over a big gear at a relatively high cadence so it will put stress on your knees.  Click below to download the workout.  Happy Spinning!
