High Impact Cycling Workout #8 – Strength Intervals

Today’s workout, Strength Intervals, is my second in a series of Interval Workouts.  Like the Cadence Intervals I described in my last post, this is not the hardest interval workout you will ever perform.  In fact, you shouldn’t go any higher than Zone 3 during your hard efforts.  However, you will still be working relatively hard and this time, the focus will be on enhancing your strength endurance (your ability to spin a bigger gear for a longer period of time).  Your cadence will be lower and your gearing higher than it was for Cadence Intervals.  Warming up is very important because this type of workout can put a lot of stress on your knees.  Click below to download the workout and as always, have fun!
